MANY THANKS . . . . . . to all who helped with the National Music Festival lunches, especially Nancy Dick and Pam Abler, who planned the menus, did the shopping, organized the volunteers, supervised all the food prep, and were there every day for two weeks! Thank you to all who contributed baked goods, financial support, or helped in any way. Special thanks to George Shivers, who set the tables and helped with the clean-up every day! We served more than 1,000 lunches over the two week period. Great job everyone!

WE NEED YOUR HELP: The Garth Committee and the Altar Guild are both looking for new members. Recently, several members of the Garth Committee and several members of the Altar Guild have resigned, some for health reasons and some due to moving out of area. The work is not hard but the rewards are great. To learn more about, or volunteer for, the Garth Committee, contact Mackey Dutton. To learn more about, or volunteer for, the Altar Guild, contact Mary McGinnis.
COFFEE HOUR HOSTS NEEDED: Many thanks to Sally Bitter, Barbara Fertig, and Joyce Symington for hosting Coffee hour last week. We are still looking for hosts for the rest of the summer. Please sign up on the board near the kitchen, by the Farm Table.
- REDNER’S SAVE-A-TAPE PROGRAM. The 1% rebates go to the Food Pantry.
- JUNE FOOD PANTRY DONATION REQUEST. Hunger does not disappear with warmer weather. Please place your nonperishable food donations in the blue container in the Narthex.
- CELL PHONES FOR SOLDIERS. Recycle your cell phones through the church to provide cell phones and pre-paid phone cards for our military personnel. A collection box is in the Narthex.
- TERRACYCLE. Prevent your empty plastic cereal bags and the plastic bag liners from cereal and cracker boxes from becoming trash – bring them to the drop off box in the Parish Hall each Sunday.
Collect for June 25: O Lord, make us have perpetual love and reverence for your holy Name, for you never fail to help and govern those whom you have set upon the sure foundation of your loving kindness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
