Proceeds will be given to the Community Food Pantry. Last week we sent a check to the Community Food Pantry from Emmanuel in the amount of $501.41 ($259 from the Farm Table and $242.41 from Redner’s receipts)!

COFFEE HOUR HOSTS NEEDED:  Thank you to Ethel Gates, Peggy Albertsen, and Gail Regester for hosting Coffee Hour last week, and to Helen Tyson for volunteering to host Coffee Hour on August 13. Please sign up on the board near the kitchen, by the Farm Table, for the remaining dates this summer and into the fall!.

  1. REDNER’S SAVE-A-TAPE PROGRAM.  PLEASE be sure to scan your Redner’s card with your purchases so that the register tapes qualify for the rebate.
  2. AUGUST FOOD PANTRY DONATION REQUEST.  Hunger does not disappear with warmer weather. Please place your nonperishable food donations in the blue container in the Narthex.
  3. CELL PHONES FOR SOLDIERS.  Recycle your cell phones through the church to provide cell phones and pre-paid phone cards for our military personnel. A collection box is in the Narthex.
  4. TERRACYCLE. Prevent your empty plastic cereal bags and the plastic bag liners from cereal and cracker boxes from becoming trash – bring them to the drop off box in the Parish Hall each Sunday.

Collect for August 13: Grant to us, Lord, we pray, the spirit to think and do always those things that are right, that we, who cannot exist without you, may by you be enabled to live according to your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
